At the left side of the dialog box click Quick Access Toolbar.
Excel displays the Excel Options dialog box. The steps are slightly different if you are using Excel 2010 or a later version: The macro moves to the right side of the dialog box.
In the list of macros, click on the one you want added to the Quick Access Toolbar.
You should see a list of available macros.
Using the Choose Commands From drop-down list, choose Macros.
At the left side of the dialog box click Customize.
Click the Office button and then click Excel Options.
Just follow these steps if you are using Excel 2007: (Makes sense, right?) If you have a macro that you need to use quite often, you may want to add it to the Quick Access Toolbar where it can be invoked easily. TIP: To move the QAT to above the Ribbon again, click the menu arrow on the QAT, and select Show Above the Ribbon. In the menu, select Show Below the Ribbon. Once you proved it works right click the button and add to Quick access tool bar and in the future you should see it there regardless.People generally create macros because they intend to use them. To reposition the Quick Access Toolbar: Click the drop-down arrow on the right side of the QAT. My suggestion to those who want to quickly fix this would be to Uninstall and then Re-install Excel and then enable the POWER VIEW setting before immediately creating a power view report realizing the button will only be there for a limited amount of time. At this point not sure how to fix it but at least I know how to work with Many a times the background processes or tasks impedes the taskbar from functioning properly, thus setting the taskbar right would automatically resolve your issue with. I used it to set up a report same day to see if it worked.Īfter a week went by I went back and looked and it no longer was available but I opened up the original report where the power view sheet opened up and on that sheet I saw it available.įrom there I right clicked and added to my quick access tool bar which then made it available when opening any sheet since I had access to the quick access toolbar button for Powerview at the top left corner of the page - solved.īottom line, there must be an update that is removing the Power-view button with 'Reports' under it at the insert tab even though it is still there working in the background. Part 1: Fix Icon Not Showing on Taskbar by Windows Explorer The method is one of the simples of all, yet it is very effective in bringing icons back to taskbar in case of hurry. I purchased a new computer and initially of course had power view available. I figured out a work around at least for my situation.
